My work as Senior Marketing Manager @Food For Free

Food Insecurity Non-Profit, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 2018-2021

Established and developed the organization’s inaugural marketing department, significantly amplifying visibility and resulting in an increase in volunteerism and donations.

“Amanda is a personable, flexible, collaborative, and creative marketing professional. As Food For Free’s first marketing manager, Amanda walked into an organization that really needed her. One of her first projects was taking over the overhaul of our dated website—a project that had been started and then abandoned. She brought tenacity, a clear vision, and a high level of IT skills to bear on the project, driving it to completion in very little time. The end result was a beautiful and user-friendly site that satisfied all stakeholders—imagine that!—and served the organization well.

Amanda led the charge on a series of program rebrands, bringing them into alignment with Food For Free’s values and with each other. With each decision, Amanda skillfully elicited input from every department, ensuring that all voices were heard. Amanda knew that the program team would have critical insight and intentionally designed a process that would collect ideas from across the organization. What emerged was a set of program names, logos, and visual assets that clearly communicated each program’s value and—again—satisfied a range of opinionated stakeholders.

Amanda’s work supported fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and communications with program partners and with clients. It was a clear contributor to Food For Free’s tremendous growth in revenue and programming during her tenure.”
